Saskatchewan Population Growth

Statistics Canada 2011, Canada’s Population Estimates: Age and Sex, Sept 2011

Statistics Canada estimates the new population in the province as of July 1, 2011, to be 1,057,884.   That is a 1.3 per cent increase over the past year.   Saskatchewan’s annual population growth rate was the fourth highest of all the provinces and territories.   Contributing factors towards this growth include natural increase (births versus deaths), interprovincial migration and international migration.
